Best ways for natural hair growth
I have been trying to grow my hair thicker and longer for quiet some time now. I have tried so many different things to get me hair to grow and the process has taken me forever. With alot of research I have came to the realization that everyone's hair grows at a different pace. However there are a few things you can do to speed up the process. Check out below on some awesome tips to grow your hair out faster naturally.
1. STOP dying/bleaching your hair - I would dye and bleach my hair every 3 months and I was doing so much damage to it, even if you cant see the damage it is there. Bleaching or using a chemical in your hair causes hair breakage, and split ends closer to your scalp. If you absolutely need to bleach or dye your hair try to go longer periods in between.
2. Take advantage of your hairs natural oils. I know when your hair starts to get that greasy feel you instantly start to think about getting in the shower to wash it, however you should try to go a little longer between showers to allow the natural oils to stimulate growth in the hair.
3. Use conditioning/moisture treatments. I have started to use leave-in conditioner after every shower and I noticed a major difference in my hairs health and condition. I added a couple links below of some of my favorite leave in conditioners.
4. Make sure you are using the right brush. Using the right brush is incredibly important. When trying to grow your hair and to minimize breakage I would suggest using a boar bristle brush. I have added links below to a couple that come highly recommended.
5. Try not to brush your hair when its wet. If you are in a hurry and absolutely need to brush through it try using a wide bristle comb and alot of leave in conditioner or detangler. Brushing through wet hair causes immense breakage.
6. Minimize using heating tools. If you use them often try to use lower heat and always use heat protectant. I added some of my favorites below.
7. When you get out of the shower try to use a microfiber towel for your hair. Another option is using a tshirt to dry your hair. Using a regular towel will cause breakage in your hair. Another suggestion to piggyback off of this one would be to get silk pillow cases.
8. Take daily vitamins. I have been taking vitamins daily and not only do I feel like I have over all more energy during the day, my hair is looking healthier and I have noticed a huge difference in my skin as well. Bonus :)
9. Choose a hairstyle that promotes growth. Loose braids and low buns. Scrunchies instead of hairs ties or just leave it down wavey or straight. :)
10. And last but not least, get your hair trimmed. This gets rid of those split ends and breakage in your hair all gives the appearance of fresh smooth healthy hair.
